Scholarships

The KR PTSA is pleased to announce that Lindsey Halversen, Leeann Allen, and Todd Lane are the three scholarship award winners for the 2007-2008 year. Each of these seniors will receive a $500.00 scholarship awarded by PTSA to further their studies at the college or university of their choice. The scholarship committee chose these students based on their academic record, volunteer service to community and school, and their financial need. Congratulations and best wishes for a successful college career!

Kentridge PTSA is pleased to announce several scholarship opportunities that are available for 2008 seniors. Please note the application deadlines very carefully. All scholarship applications are available in the KR counseling office and online as noted.

The Washington State PTA is awarding financial grants this year to graduates from Washington State public high schools beginning their freshman year of post-secondary education. Grants will be awarded in the amounts of either $1,000.00 or $2,000. These financial grants will give primary consideration to the “financial need of each applicant and the demonstration of academic performance and community service”. The application must be postmarked by March 31, 2008. The application can be downloaded from the Washington State PTA website.

The Kent Area PTA Council scholarship applications are available in the Kentridge Counseling Office. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 25th. Kent Area PTA Council awards at least one scholarship for every high school in the Kent School District including Kent Mountain View Academy and Kent Phoenix Academy. Any questions please feel free to contact the scholarship committee.

Kentridge PTSA scholarship application forms are available in the counseling office. Completed applications are due on April 16, 2008 at 3pm. No late applications will be accepted. KR PTSA will select one or more recipients to receive the scholarship. Each award amount will be $300 - $500 payable to the post secondary institution upon confirmation of registration.
